1872
Caspar Friedrich Hausmann opened the Hecht pharmacy in St. Gallen, Switzerland, and started his pioneering work in developing infusions against iron deficiency.
1952
The construction of Laboratorien Hausmann AG factory began in the valley of the Sitter river in St. Gallen

1991
Vifor (International) Ltd. (formerly Vifor AG, founded in 1944) is established and takes over the iron preparation development of Laboratorien Hausmann. This evolution marked a new chapter in Vifor´s journey, dedicated to pushing the boundaries of iron solution development even further.
2022
CSL and Vifor joined forces, merging their expertise and resources. CSL Vifor is firmly committed to improving the well-being of its patients and to waging a determined fight against iron deficiency and iron deficiency anemia

We are committed to carefully control every aspect of our manufacturing. For example, we design some of the manufacturing equipment in-house with our team of engineers and chemical experts.
